    It was a sly kind of self-congratulations for not hosting an all-male panel, as well as a deflection from the fact that in a city that's only 26 percent white, those are the only people you could find. The architectural profession is so embarrassing sometimes. 

    My advice: try harder next time. Also, white panelists, don't participate in all-white panels. Suggest the inclusion of relevant speakers of color. If you don't know any, ask yourself why. Read about it at Dezeen
